
Perth is being tipped to be a leading candidate to host the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
Optus Stadium was designed with the Commonwealth Games in mind so it’s only a matter of time before the city becomes host.
Perth’s recent builds and refurbishments including Optus Stadium make the city the $3.00 favourite.

The odds suggest that the Games could head to New Zealand as the next most likely option, with Christchurch ($3.50) and Auckland ($4.50) also at short odds.

The Stadium could be packed to capacity, on Saturday, with 60,000 fans expected to watch the AFL semi-final between West Coast Eagles and Melbourne Demons.
