Brisbane builder Ben Borsht has firmed from $4.50 into $2.80 to win MasterChef.
Ben survived last night’s elimination round, but not without controversy.
Ben left a couple of elements off his dish in the knock-out, but Samira Damirova was sent home. That left a sour taste in the mouth of some viewers and plenty took to social media to voice their disgust that Samira was given the chop.
Sending Samira home who managed to present every single element on the plate, over Ben who not only presented five elements of the seven but also improvised the recipe has to be the biggest blunder of Masterchef history #masterchefau

Ben has shown, on occasions, that he can cook as good as the rest and punters agree, having him in their top three to win the competition.
At this point, Ben could plate up vegemite on toast and the judges would love it #masterchef
