Margot Robbie is Australia’s lone hope of carrying off an acting Oscar at next month’s Academy Awards.
Robbie is $9 to win the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in the biographical drama, Bombshell.
Aussie punters are yet to fire a broadside at Robbie, with most of the money targeted at $1.17 favourite Laura Dern.
Margot has come of age in Hollywood and has stamped herself as one of the best in the business.
She has a tough job to beat Laura Dern for the top gong, but if it doesn’t happen this year Margot will have an Oscar on the mantelpiece in the future.
Joaquin Phoenix, aka The Joker, is $1.07 and best backed to carry off the best actor award ahead of Adam Driver ($6.00) and Leonardo DiCaprio ($18).
Brad Pitt ($1.12) heads the market for Best Supporting Actor.
The movie that took Pitt to top spot, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, is $2.20 to take Best Picture honours. However, The Joker ($9.00), is best backed to win the Oscar.
