Eyes on The Big House & Iron Bowl This Weekend

Comments

Here we go. Only a couple more weekends of regular season college football left, with a bit of jockeying still to come for the four-team national championship playoff.

While #2 LSU, #3 Clemson and #4 Georgia are all heavy favourites and should retain their spots in the top four, #1 Ohio State and #5 Alabama face tricky games against traditional rivals.

Ohio State travels to Michigan’s ‘Big House’ (capacity 107,000) to play the Wolverines who have lost twice, to Wisconsin and Penn State.

Alabama, meanwhile – who will be without star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa who’s out for the season – faces Auburn in the Iron Bowl, college football’s most intense rivalry.

Alabama v Auburn is as bitter as it gets, with the most infamous incident involving a Bama fan who poisoned the iconic oak trees on the Auburn campus. He was sentenced to three years in jail.

The Crimson Tide will need a big win over the Tigers to stay close to the top four, then hope for an upset either this week or in the upcoming conference championship games.
