Any complaints after Episode 1 about a friendly, fuzzy Gordon Ramsay went out the kitchen door last night as the Scot’s slow burn eventually turned into a blowup.
Not sure if Hell’s Kitchen or Masterchef #MasterChefAU

Although there were a number of mistakes throughout the night – grey lamb in the sous vide, stodgy potatoes – it was the mismanagement of the pork that really got Ramsay going.
Fedora fan Chris Badenoch was sliced and diced for his knife skills and for cutting the pork too early. Stunned diners were treat to the Scottish chef screaming “stop slicing the pork!” at the top of his lungs just before service.

Ramsay also delved deeply into maths, explaining to the blue team that they’d done their calculations wrong and didn’t really have enough meat for the remaining nine tables.
The night was full of stressful moments, with favourite Poh struggling again, but coming through ok in the end and even admitting that her “dream of having Gordon Ramsay yell at me came true.”
Australia breathes a sigh of relief.
Did we flatten the curve?
Better, Poh’s dessert was ok#MasterChefAU

There was one surprise at the end: the victorious green team is NOT safe from elimination. Only one of the winners will be.
Sounds like an excuse for another episode…but when you’re pulling in more than a million viewers a night, why not.
