Here’s a look at the Quaddie legs for Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Bendigo

5-Benchmark 64 (1300m)

Best: Desert Dreamer– lumped 61.5 for first-up win, also a second-up winner.

Others

Nebaraz – close well to run a nice race first-up, McNeil sticks.

Spirit Medium – in the money three of four, two soft trials to prepare for this, nice filly.

Vladivostok – very consistent, form apprentice and good draw.

Numbers: 3, 8, 14, 1.

6-Benchmark 64 (3yo fillies, 1300m)

Best: Cupid’s Bow – should have won last start, taken back to the rear, wide run from the 600m and just failed.

Others

Éclair Breeze – not far away when first-up, can only be fitter.

 Refreshed – struggled on heavy last start, fourth-up and gets a good track.

Echo Boomer – prolific placegetter, only win was on good track, gets that here.

Numbers: 2, 9, 12, 8.

7-Benchmark 70  (1600m)

Best: Confusion – fourth-up finished off strongly last start and gets the right run from barrier two.

Others

Fighting Whiskey – not at home in heavy 9 latest, placed previous run and can improve on top of the ground.

Reformist – former Sydney gelding, ran well for new stable this grade. Can box-seat form this alley.

Numbers: 5, 7, 1.

8-Benchmark 78 (1100m)

Best: Ginger Jones – ran super when first-up, honest and better for the run.

Others

Acumen – betting drifter when resumed at Caulfield, this easier and has won second-up.

Express Pass – placed at Group 2 level before a break has been gelded and in the money all three first-up runs.

Deep Euphoria – fourth run for the month and probably giddy, but hard to knock form.

Numbers: 3, 10, 6, 9.

Warwick Farm

4-Benchmark 74 (1600m)

Best: Brutality – having a good prep’ placed last two since Maiden win and has won in heavy 9.

Others

Travancore – city wins for this apprentice are scarce, but fit horse racing well in the wet.

Showminder – placed in heavy, but not convinced he’s a mudder, but in the money three runs from a spell.

Black Wand – swims and gets in well with 3kg claim.

Numbers: 9, 1, 4, 5.

5-Benchmark 70 (1400m)

Royal Banquet – won three of four at provincials, untried in heavy.

Others

Bergen – huge drop in class for Bergen, query in heavy, but easiest opposition this prep’ and good 3kg claimer aboard.

Holy Reign – super fit placed in wet.

Numbers: 5, 1, 9.

6-Benchmark 70 (1400m)

Best: Threeood– D-Day for this mare. She was disappointing last start, but was leader bias, previous run was good.

Others

Lexi’s Choice – class rise, but had tough wide run last start and didn’t shirk at the end and has won in heavy.

Bowery Breeze – savaged the line last start without threatening. Trained here and cut out of the ground is a plus.

Numbers: 1, 12, 9.

7-Benchmark 70 (1200m)

Best: Front Money – rallied late, but just couldn’t peg back Escaped when first-up. Slightly longer trip a plus.

Others

Epic Dan – high tempo will suit. Latest run was strong, drops in class and in well with the claim.

The Fire Trap – first-up since October, trialled twice. Has had his share of issues, but plenty of ability.

Accelerato – super fit, handles the wet and races well here.

Numbers: 11, 2, 1, 4.

Doomben

6-Class 5 (1640m)

Best: Top Me Up Again – won both starts this prep’ including latest this track and distance.

Others

Fastnet Cyclone – flashed home from well back last start, extra distance a plus and can be closer from the good gate.

Bering Sea – runs are well spaced, fast finishing effort here last start and should be close to peak now.

Take Tea – strong on the line in Ballina win, 2kg claim a positive and will race on the bunny.

Numbers: 5, 6, 2, 4.

7-Open Handicap (1200m)

Best: Fiery Heights – went out hard in Listed company and not far off them at the end. Nicely weighted after 3kg claim and loves this track.

Others

Tawfiq Boy – high tempo will suit as likely to get back. First-up run was good and gets in with no weight.

Up Trumpz – went back from a wide gate and flashed home at Grafton. Can be closer from the good alley and speed on will suit.

Star Reflection – back to midweek grade and kept ticking over with a soft trial.

Numbers: 1, 6, 9, 4.

8-Three-Years-Old Handicap (1350m)

Best: Roman Aureus – racing in great form. Won this track and distance, latest too far back. Cassidy back on box-seats (also in race 9).

Others

Kalik – beaten less than three lengths in Listed grade three starts back, 2kg claim brings in well.

Better Than Groovy – slow away last start, finished hard at the end of 1200m to just go under. Extra distance suits and will carry just 52kgs after claim.

Zouvilla – edged out by more fancied stablemate last start. Second-up and will race on the speed.

Vogue – won Maiden here two starts back, latest copped a check at the start, capable of improvement.

Numbers: 3, 1, 12, 6, 11.

9-Three-Years-Old Handicap (1640m)

Best: Reus – in the money all eight starts, latest won the Grafton Guineas and handles the wet.

Others

Wapiti – gutsy win on home track in Sunshine Coast Guineas. Drops from that Group 3 win, but rises 4kgs.

Love Express – stablemate of Wapiti and was third to that horse in the Guineas and meets it 5.5kgs better.

Green Jacket – won last two starts, can get the gun run from barrier three.

Numbers: 5, 2, 8, 7.
