There was some big priced winners and huge dividends last Saturday and sadly we were not among them.

Hoping to land a few winners with this lot.

Warwick Farm (heavy 9)

4-Benchmark 70 (1600m)

Best: Reformist – struck some trouble early, made a wide run from the 600m. Fifth and no threat, but kept finding and has won this track.

 Others

Lewis – in the money four of six. Betting drifter when resumed nice trial since.

Azarmin – was fresh and not much went right mid-race when resuming, but worked home okay.

Proletariat – Former Kiwi held-up mid race and worked home okay good conditioning run.

Numbers: 6, 3, 8, 2.

5-Benchmark 70 (2400m)

Best: She’s So Savvy slow away railed through, worst part of the track, when second in heavy 8.

Others

Misty Summer – shuffled back early then made sustained run around the field and dominant winner in heavy 8 at Gosford.

He Runs Away – midfield did all the chasing and held on for fourth latest, month between runs.

Numbers: 5, 7, 2.

6-Benchmark 70 (1200m)

Best: L’cosmo – wide and closed off well (heavy 9) after sitting near the rear in Saturday city BM 74. Second to Fituese two starts back.

Others

He’s A Hotshot – in the money 10 of 12 starts and is first-up. Strong 940m trial winner in heavy 8.

Riva Capri – tired late and to 1200m is a plus, heavy track winner.

Accelerato – fitter for first-up run, handles wet tracks.

Numbers: 9, 3, 4, 6.

7-Benchmark 66 (1300m)

Best : Darleb – lucky to stay up near the line latest, when close third. Super fit.

Others

Papal Warrior – one of four Waller runners. Gelded and came back to win Maiden and latest wasn’t far away in Heavy 9. Third-up should be primed.

What A Girl – won Newcastle Maiden in good style in soft going. Since trialled by J-Mac and he sticks on the Waller trained filly.

Brazen Gem – won two then midfield latest, but did close off okay, placed in wet.

Numbers: 1, 14, 7, 4.

Sandown (soft 5)

5-Benchmark 78 (1600m)

Best: Pure Scot – fought on BM84 Caulfield, up 4kgs after the claim, but big class drop and drawn to get the gun run.

Others

Shahzade – ran on at the end BM84 Saturday class latest. Has failed twice at the mile.

Flying Sardine – loves the wet and was too far back at Mornington, but hit the line well.

Numbers: 1, 2, 3.

6-Benchmark 64 (1000m)

Best: Guess Again – was first-up when led at a solid tempo. Fought on for third and can only be fitter.

Others

Sword of Mercy – won last two starts and was dominant Bendigo (BM58).

Salty Kisses – bit more urgency needed here. Got back, but closed off strong this track and distance.

Splendid Isolation – won on debut and then was okay at Flemington. Gap between two career starts, but has had a jump-out to tune.

Numbers: 3, 8, 11, 10.

7-Benchmark 70 (1400m)

Best: Hapaira – met a few of these last start and had no peace in front. Fought on well and meets Trigger Point better at the weights.

Others

Maximak – closed off for sixth to Trigger Point, was a good effort at first go in heavy. Drier track a plus.

Caffrey – won 2 of three career starts. Tougher, but was solid win at Geleong after 10 month break.

Collectable – nice horse resuming and has run some good races in much tougher company.

Numbers: 6, 13, 12, 14.

8-Benchmark 70 (1800m)

Best: Boomstock – should be peaking after placings at three runs from a break and out to this trip is a plus.

Others

La Belle Jude – followed Listed placing with easy win tougher in BM78. Nicely weighted after 3kg claim, alley a worry.

Miss Damita – turned in a big effort first-up when flashed home from well back. Extra distance a plus and drops 3.5kgs.

Maliseet – duffer in heavy and not disgraced on heavy last start. Chance if no worse than soft.

Numbers: 9, 1, 12, 2.

Ipswich (soft 7)

7-Three-years-Old Maiden (1350m)

Best: Rebel Salute – at second race start sat outside the leader, found a kick but caught on the line. Sure to be improved.

Others

Keen On Gold – worked himself up last start. Dragged back at Sunshine Coast, wide run from the 600m and was okay. Stallion chain may improve manners.

Sister Kathleen – back in grade after decent effort behind Command’n’conquer in 3yo Hcp, rails draw.

Wild and Ready – third career start, had all the favours and battling third at Doomben.

Numbers: 6, 12, 2, 13.

8-Benchmark 72 (1200m)

Best: Ottamae – super impressive win here when resuming. Wide went forward from the 600m and then went to another gear on straightening.

Others

Hollaback Girl – unbeaten in two runs this track, down in grade.

Desert Man – racing well in tougher company. Speed will be on, which will suit.

Heritage Sash  – very honest, close up in recent runs and well in with the 2kg claim.

Numbers: 12, 5, 4, 1.

9-Class 1 Plate (1200m)

Best: Amiche –looks one of the better bets of the day. Placed only two starts before eight months in the paddock. Returned and blew them away, by 9.5 lengths in Maiden company.

Others

Genzai the Wolf – ran well at Doomben latest when 1350m slightly too far, back in distance a plus.

Numbers: 11, 5.

10-Class 2 (1350m)

Best: Axella – this mare will be better for her first-up 4th at Muwillumbah, when track was pretty chopped up. Second-up winner and has also won this track and distance.

Others

Savaspur – Waller trained and broke through for strong Maiden win. Can get the right run from barrier two.

Top Me Up Again – showed promise when last in work. Trialled well, just needs luck from his wide barrier.

Numbers: 4, 5, 6.
