Leggup | Three-State Quaddies


Here’s a look at the Quaddies for the three main metro meetings tomorrow.

Sandown (heavy 8)

5-Benchmark 84 (1800m)

Best: Bartholomeu Dias – import ran super at first Australian start can only be improved. No heavy form, but is in his bloodlines.


Our Peaky Blinders – had first start for more than a year and worked home strongly, up in grade, better for the run.

Savaheat – raced in the worst part of the track stuck on well in Saturday city grade, fitter fourth-up.

Main Stage – poor effort last start, but previous form was good enough to throw him in the mix and Ollie to ride.

Numbers: 3, 5, 2, 11.

6-Benchmark 78 (2400m)

Best: Nashville Sound – rock hard fit, handles the wet. Did a lot of work last start and fought on in tougher grade. Sharpened for this with a recent trial over jumps.


Fanciful Toff – brave when nabbed on the line after leading throughout this track and distance.

Cernan – won this track and distance, in heavy 8 latest run.

Numbers: 8, 2, 17.

7-Benchmark 70 (1000m)

Best: Pinyin – closed off well in tougher BM78 at Flemington. Honest mare drops in class, heavy track winner and nicely weighted after the 3kg claim.


Neurotic – resumes and had plenty in hand 800m jump-out on the Valley course proper. Should be getting home hard.

Bless Her – in the money five of six includes wins at last two.

Bombshell Belle – good win Swan Hill speedy lightly raced.
Numbers: 7, 8, 10, 5.

8-Benchmark 70 (1300m)

Best: Falls – in the money seven of eight starts winner here and in heavy, drawn well for his first-up run.


Wilde Gem – Swimmer and comes here after closed off strongly at Mornington. Well weighted with the 3kg claim.

Heyington Station – gets a nose roll and was placed last two, one in the heavy.

Cataracta – third-up, two-time heavy track winner and close third latest here.

Numbers: 3, 8, 13, 10.

Canterbury (heavy 9)

3-Two-year-old Fillies Maiden (1250m)

Best: Global Queen – Snitzel first-starter so should handle the heavy. Plenty in reserve in her Randwick trial win.


Tight Ropes – showed speed in heavy 9 and tired late. Ran a nice race behind Rulership before a spell.

Numbers: 3, 11.

4-Benchmark 70 (1550m)

Best: Savigne – resumed in heavy 8 at Warwick Farm and had a wide run, will be fitter for the run.

Showminder – worked outside the leader and went on for game first-up win

Black Wand – solid win at Wagga when wide throughout has won in heavy.

Galahad’s Quest – brave second to Baanone this track and distance in heavy 10, super fit.

Numbers: 9, 4, 6, 7.

5-Benchmark 70 (1100m)

Best:Β  Varda– nice filly raced well in tougher company before a spell, no heavy form.


Estrado – had all the favours and strong win latest run here.

Bella Rosa – J-Mac jumps off Estrado to ride. Knuckled down to the job late in heavy at last start.

Numbers: 12, 13, 4.

6-Benchmark 70 (1900m)

Best: Monasterio – led and fought on well for third this track and distance. More speed in this so can take a sit and get the gun run.


Monsieur Sisu – hasn’t won for a long time, but super fit, loves the wet and small field in his favour.

Lord Gododdin – Waller trained, very fit, winner in soft and not disgraced in heavy latest.


Numbers: 8, 7, 3.

Ipswich (soft 6)

5-Benchmark 78 (1690m)

Best: High Power – well weighted and ran good third in city Saturday grade


Tatcee – placed two runs from a break in heavy, gets out to best distance here.

Fairy Me Home – made up a lot of ground for third to Barefoot, been up a while.

Numbers: 3, 6, 8.

6-Benchmark 68 (1200m)

Best: Socialising – looks a stand-out on recent form. Won past two starts with authority.


Vibrato – super consistent when last in work. Placed here and has won first-up.

Let’s Go Bobby – having first start since December, good fresh and in the money four of five starts this track.

Numbers: 9, 5, 8.

7-Class 3, colts, geldings, entires (1350m)

Best: Magic Fox – been racing well against tougher company and won only start this track.


Broncks – ran third in heavy 10 last start, better track in his favour and has won Ipswich.

Chicago O’Brien – showed speed to lead all of the way (1200m) here last start. Winner to 1400m.

Cloak – not let go in Sunshine Coast trial. Newcomer to Vandyke yard.

Numbers: 2, 10, 3, 1.

8-Class 3, fillies & mares (1350m)

Best: Take Tea gets in well with 3kg claim and this easier than last start Saturday run, when lost spot early and then worked home strongly.


Rossmay – ran a nice race first-up when fifth to Champagne Daisy this grade. Step-up to 1350m is a plus.

Champagne Daisy – raced handy and scored game win at Doomben latest.

Got My Thrills – appreciated the drop back in distance to win here last start, consistent.

Vienna Moon – not far away when resuming, sure to be running on.

Numbers: 2, 6, 3, 7, 11.
