Celtic, Arsenal, Man U & Wolves Aim To Advance

Comments

Rangers beat Braga on Thursday to become the first team to advance to the Europa League Round of 16.

The Glasgow club won the second leg 1-0 in Portugal to advance on an aggregate score of 4-2. Rangers’ archrivals Celtic will be in action tomorrow along with three English Premier League teams.

Espanyol v Wolves

Friday, 4:55am AEDT

Aggregate 4-0 to Wolves
With such a huge advantage and a Premier League match with Tottenham this weekend, expect Wolves to play it somewhat safe. They’re a far better team, but even a highly unlikely 3-0 loss gets them through, so the draw could be a decent play here.

$3.20 Draw
$2.40 Wolves

Celtic v FC Copenhagen

Friday, 7am AEDT

Aggregate level 1-1
Celtic have a superb record against Danish opponents at home (6W, 2D, 0L) and although this one won’t be easy, they should be classy enough in Glasgow to make the next round. Odsonne Edouard is Celtic’s leading scorer overall in all competitions and he’s worth a look at $2.00 as Anytime Goalscorer and $4.00 as First Goalscorer.

Win-Draw-Win
$1.45 Celtic
$4.00 Draw
$8.00 FC Copenhagen

Manchester United v Club Brugge

Friday, 7am AEDT

Aggregate level 1-1
Manchester United have just three wins in their last six at Old Trafford, while Club Brugge haven’t lost away from home since November. Still, you’d expect United, who are in decent form, to get the job done here. Four of the Red Devils’ last six Europa League Knockout Round matches have ended level, so the draw could be worth a look. Bruno Fernandes has been a great pickup for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and he’s $2.50 as Anytime Goalscorer.

Win-Draw-Win
$1.40 Manchester United
$4.20 Draw
$7.50 Club Brugge

Markets here.

Arsenal v Olympiacos

Friday, 7am AEDT

Aggregate 1-0 to Arsenal
The 1-0 away win was huge for the Gunners, who have kept six clean sheets in their last 13 matches. Olympiakos have lost nine of their last ten in European play, but will certainly push hard in attack and hope the defensive ‘Arsenal of old’ makes a return. The smart play here could be both teams to score (currently $1.72) or if you feel strongly about Arsenal, it’s $3.20 for the home side to win and both teams to score.

Win-Draw-Win
$1.45 Arsenal
$4.33 Draw
$6.50 Olympiacos
