Tottenham Up Against It In Germany

Red Bull Leipzig v Tottenham

Wednesday, 7am AEDT

First leg: Tottenham 0 Red Bull Leipzig 1

It’s been a rough week or so for Tottenham: getting knocked out of the FA Cup, Eric Dier climbing into the stands to confront a fan and Jose Mourinho turning his whingeing act up to 11.

This is the club’s last chance at real silverware, but they’re up against it chasing a 0-1 aggregate score with few goalscoring options up front. Dele Alli ($4 Anytime Goalscorer) and Giovani Lo Celso ($7 Anytime Goalscorer) will have to carry the load, but unfortunately it’s probably going to be too heavy.

Valencia v Atalanta

Wednesday, 7am AEDT

First leg: Atalanta 4 Valencia 1

The biggest talking point here – other than the fact that Atalanta won the first leg easily – is the fact that the return leg will be played in an empty stadium. Since the visitors are based in the Lombardy region, the epicentre of the coronavirus in Italy, the home team has decided to proactively ban any fans from attending.

While overturning a 4-1 aggregate is unlikely anyway, this puts Valencia at even more of a disadvantage. Expect the hosts to press forward, potentially opening themselves up for a counterattack and the dagger of an away goal ($1.40 for both teams to score).

$2.75 Valencia
$3.75 Draw
$2.30 Atalanta
