Tottenham’s Turn In The Champions League

Tottenham v Red Bull Leipzig

Thursday, 7am AEDT

After Liverpool’s 1-0 loss to Atletico Madrid, another Premier League team, Tottenham try their luck in the Champions League as they host Red Bull Leipzig.

It’s the first time these teams have ever met, and the first time RB have made it to the Champions League Knockout Round.

Spurs will be hampered by the loss of injured superstar Son Hyeung-Min who scored nine goals in his last 10 UCL games.

Tottenham scored the most goals of the 16 remaining teams during the group stages, so Red Bull will more than likely play this one close to the vest and save their attacking forays  – led by Timo Werner and Emil Forsberg – for the second leg at home.

Atalanta v Valencia

Thursday, 7am AEDT

Another clash of teams that have never met before.

Atlalanta are a remarkable story, becoming the first team since 2004 to advance to the final 16 after losing their first three group stage games.

The Serie A side will fancy themselves a chance at home against a Valencia team that has won just three of 11 La Liga games on the road.

Valencia – back in the final 16 for the first time since 2013 – have never won an away game in the Knockout Stages and have only kept one clean sheet in those nine games.

$5.00 Valenica
