England’s World Cup striker Harry Kane is on target to land punters some hefty collects if he stays ahead in the Golden Boot standings.
There’s been a $1000 wager on Kane when he was $18 and as England progressed traders have gradually cut his price and Kane is now the $1.16 favourite to be the leading scorer.
Bit harsh when people say Kane hasn't had a great World Cup. His goals haven't been anything spectacular and have had elements of luck but he's done a lot of the unfashionable number 9 play superbly. Hold-up play and ball retention has been excellent and good in creating spaces.

A lot of the early money was for Belgium’s star Romelu Lukaku, probably because England was outsiders to go this deep. They’ve made it this far on the back of Kane’s six goals, but Lukaku is only two behind and Belgium is in great form.
Lukaku was well backed early in the tournament, with a $9000 bet at $2.50, but Lukaku is now out to $9.50.
France is the $3.00 favourite to win the Cup, ahead of England $3.50, Belgium $3.75 and Croatia $5.50.
In semi-final match-ups France is $2.45 to beat Belgium ($3.10) and England is $2.50 favourite for their clash with Croatia ($3.50).
